Mommy & Me Classes

  • Our infant massage instructor was trained through the International Association of Infant Massage. Infant massage classes span 4 weeks in a group or 1:1 setting. These 90 min classes are designed to teach the mother/caregiver a specific set of strokes for each body part while also educating about infant reflexes, cues, and language, and enhancing the mother-infant bond. Research suggests infant massage can help improve sleep and self-regulation, decrease gas/intestinal pain, improve weight gain, decrease maternal and infant stress, and increase the mother/caregiver’s understanding of how the infant is communicating. Classes are best for infants 6 weeks to pre-crawling.

  • Our therapist has been trained and certified in teaching the “secret” to being successful with tummy time through The Tummy Time! Method. With our current back to sleep model for infants, optimizing the time an infant spends on his/her belly is crucial for social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and sensory development. Utilizing the tummy time position is especially important for infants that have tongue and/or lip ties, as they may also have tightness that persists in other areas of their bodies. The Tummy Time! Method classes are offered in a group setting for a 1 hour class across 3 consecutive weeks or through 1:1 appointments.

  • Our Postpartum&Play classes are designed to meet the needs of both mom and baby by providing a safe space for a community of women to form while also playing and engaging with their babies. Our occupational therapist or lactation consultant will lead you through a 60 min session of play or crafting and conversation. It’s a support group and playdate wrapped up into one!

  • This class will have a different focus for each session (i.e. rolling, crawling, pulling to stand, walking, etc.) and will teach you how you can help support your little to meet their developmental milestones throughout the first few year of their life. You will walk away with practical activities you can do in your home and learn new ways to play and engage with your little one. Please consider joining us even if you aren’t working on the specific milestone!

  • These classes are designed to combine the benefits of warm water with gentle stretching and developmental play. During class, 1-3 infants will be placed in a large, soaking bathtub with an Otteroo floatie that will perfectly support your infant’s head above water while allowing their body to relax freely below the water. Their arms and legs will remain unrestricted by a floatie to allow for independent movement, discovery, and play. We will teach you about the therapeutic and developmental benefits of water, the sensory-filled environment of the bathtub, and how to engage with your baby during bath time and water play. These classes are 1 hour in length, can be booked privately, with a friend, or with the option to meet a new friend.

  • This is a fitness-light class where we will combine specific movements that enhance pelvic floor and core recovery in conjunction with your baby or your growing belly to help you feel stronger for everyday mom life. These dynamic movements will focus on proper posture, muscular activation, and breathing mechanics to encourage strength, flexibility, and endurance while mimicking daily functional movements. Classes are taught by either our occupational therapist or our yoga instructor.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Classes

  • This class is designed for couples to attend to learn all about what to expect throughout pregnancy. We will discuss changes to the breasts and body, nausea and nutrition, pelvic floor changes, and so much more. This class helps provide you and your partner with a roadmap of what to expect and how to support each other.

  • As your body changes throughout pregnancy, so does your pelvic floor. Understanding these changes can help you to be prepared for the entirety of your pregnancy and plan for healing and recovery postpartum. Additionally, we will discuss common issues and concerns that women experience during pregnancy such as constipation, leakage, back pain, Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction (SPD), Diastisis Rectus Abdominis (DRA), and sciatica + SI joint pain and how you can minimize and heal these issues.

  • Breastfeeding is both an innate and learned skill for mom and baby.

Establishing a successful breastfeeding relationship takes time, knowledge, and patience. Your breastfeeding journey can begin prior to the arrival of your baby. This class is taught by our Certified Lactation Counselor and will help to teach you all that you need to know to be prepared!

  • This class is designed specifically for couples to offer insight on the in's/out's of the first 30 days postpartum. Communication, sleep deprivation, breast/bottle feeding, diaper changes, and relationship changes can be difficult and unexpected. We polled women about the most tricky parts of the postpartum period and we have combined these insights with info on maternal physical changes and infant development to create a class that fits the modern parent.

  • Have you ever wondered how you are actually going to push your baby out? Are you scared about pushing? We spend a lot of time preparing for labor itself but little time talking about pushing. While pushing is typically a short component of your labor it is a very active and dynamic part. This class will teach you all about the mechanics of pushing, provide you with stretches to help prepare for pushing, and offer you practical tips you can use to practice pushing prior to labor.

  • After the arrival of your baby, you may only have 1-3 postpartum visits depending on your provider. Unfortunately, this is not nearly enough time to educate you on c-section and vaginal delivery recovery of your pelvic floor. This part of your body is very nuanced and impacts so many aspects of your daily life and functioning. This class covers all the changes that happen postpartum, what to expect, and how to start healing now that you have received the “all clear”.
